Aerial Yoga takes yoga moves to a new level with the use of a silk hammock as a supportive prop.
It is especially beneficial for those who spend a lot of time sitting at a desk or suffer back pain. This is due to the decompressing effect on the spine.
Just as traditional mat yoga has a number of variations styles to choose from, aerial yoga also offers a variety of styles to suit everyone.
Depending on the class type, Aerial Yoga fuses yoga poses with inspiration from pilates, dance, circus arts, and other anti-gravity fitness styles. There are options available for relaxing stretch and balance based classes where the hammock is used solely as a prop. There are options for those wanting the thrill of learning new flips and tricks in the air.
