Aerial Hoop, also known as Lyra is a circular apparatus, resembling a hoola hoop, suspended from the ceiling, on which you can perform aerial acrobatics. It can be used static, spinning or swinging. It combines strength and body awareness to make beautiful shapes whilst twirling above the ground. Our classes work off a program designed to build strength and flexibility to perform on the Lyra and begin with some warm up stretching and conditioning. Students will learn the basis for various movements, ideal form and technique and safety on the apparatus.
