Aerial Classes
We offer aerial classes for different levels and abilities, featuring various apparatuses. Aerial silks, also known as aerial tissue, is a circus apparatus that allows artists to perform acrobatics while hanging from fabric. The polyester-Lycra fabric hangs from the ceiling and is used to wrap, suspend, drop, swing, and spiral the body into various positions. Classes include a proper cardiovascular warm-up, flexibility training, and guided technique instruction.
Aerial Hoop, or Lyra, is a circular apparatus resembling a hula hoop, suspended from the ceiling. It can be used static, spinning, or swinging, combining strength and body awareness to create beautiful shapes while twirling above the ground. Our classes focus on building strength and flexibility, starting with warm-up stretching and conditioning. Students learn the basics of various movements, ideal form, technique, and safety on the apparatus.
Static trapeze is a bar suspended from two ropes, allowing performers to move around the bar and ropes, performing a wide range of movements including balances, drops, and hangs. The trapeze can also swing, similar to Lyra. Classes cover the basics of static trapeze, focusing on strength, balance, and technique.
